A New World Record

I'm sure it's got to be a new world record. At lunch and dinner I have the kids eat their fruit or vegetables before they get the rest of the meal. This usually works out great, but Sunday was a different story. Ezra spent 90 minutes chewing 6 green beans! He literally chewed each one for 15 minutes. I was amazed that this was even possible.

That is amazing. Daniel just started eating non pureed veggies this week. Even though he only eats them if they come off my plate, I guess it is a start.

I had all but given up on Maddie and eating anything substantial-not to mention a vegetable. Then a couple of days ago she started eating like mad, and tonight she ate chicken, corn, sweet potatos, and peaches. I just don't know what's gotten into her.

I think Ezra and Natalie have a similar thing going. Last night we were going to see the Christmas lights down at the town center and have treats for FHE, and Natalie took one whole hour to eat her dinner. Don't worry that it was just chicken tenders, french fries, corn and carrot sticks. I'd even planned on serving stuff she'd eat fast because I knew we were in a hurry. Sigh. I wonder if our kids will ever learn to eat like normal people?
