House Bound

Ezra had his quarterly case of croupe the last few days, poor kid! So we stayed home and found some fun things to do.

We mixed food color drops in water and watch them change color. The kids were amazed.

I made fishing poles with sticks, yarn, and magnets. Then I made fish with staples on them and the kids fished. Ezra has a hard time with colors, I really thought he was color blind for a while, but he's fine. I told them to catch only the red ones, then moved onto another color. Hopefully this will help teach him.

The kids wanted to make a big surprise for me since I surprised them with the fishing game. They told me not to look for about fifteen minutes then surprised me with ponyville and a some tied up sticks. Very cool!

Wow! you've really got this Stay at Home mom thing figured out! I've only been home for a few months, and the most we do is make shapes with our playdough and throw water at each other in the pool. You have some very creative and fun ideas on how to occupy little ones in the slow times of day! They are cute kids, that's for sure!!

Ash you are so creative! Were they your ideas or did you find a pool of activities to do with your kids somewhere? I hope I can be a fun mom like that when my boys get more interactive and less messy.
