At Least He's Trying

Ezra had a gift bag and put some toys in it. He told me he got me a present. I acted excited and asked if I could open it. He told me I have to wait until Sunday. Then he changed his mind and handed it to me. I pulled out the first toy and said thank you. He said, "oh that's for Noah." I pulled out the next toy and he said, "oh that's for me." I tried with the last toy and he said, "that one is for me too."
Mike was working on something in they toy room and left some little screws on the floor. I like to keep the toy room baby proofed and I reward the kids with a chocolate chip if they find any chokeables. Livi proudly brought me the screws and asked for a chocolate chip. I thanked her and gave her one. I actually gave Ezra one too, but he wanted another one and ran upstairs in search of a chokeable. He brought down a large teddy bear, some blocks and a book and asked if they were chokeables. I told him no and he ran back up. He came down with a page from a book he had just ripped out and said, "sorry I ripped this mommy, but is this a chokeable? can I have a chocolate chip?"

Oh my goodness Ash! This is why I can hardly wait until Owen can talk. Kids say and do the darnest things and I love it! Thanks for given me a laugh by posting those moments!
