It wasn't really that bad, I was actually laughing during most of it because I couldn't believe all that happened in such a short amount of time.
Warning: This post is gross so you might not want to read it!
To preface all of this, we were on our way home from a cabin trip, which was very fun. Mike had sprained his ankle playing basketball on Saturday and it was continually getting worse. On our way home from the cabin it was huge and swollen, and black and blue. We decided he'd better go to an inta-care and get it checked out. When the kids and I got home it all started....
Livi decided to dump bowls full of water all over the bathroom floor, then the dog threw up a fishhead she had eaten at the cabin. Ezra then ran to the bathroom and didn't make it in time. I cleaned him up and was heading out to clean up the dog barf and water in the bathroom. I discovered that the dog had re-eaten her barf (sick!) but left the bones, so I was bleaching the floor and cleaning up fish bones. Mike came home with a temporary cast and crutches and was told he has a very bad sprain but probably not a break (we'll find out for sure tomorrow). The dog then let the rest of the fish out the other end in eleven disgusting piles. Mike wasn't very mobile, so I cleaned and sanitized the mess with the steam vacuum. As I was dumping the gross water in the toilet I spilled it on my leg and on the already puddled bathroom floor (from Livi's fun). I bleached and cleaned that all up and changed my pants. I was having a coughing fit and sat down on the couch where a cup of water was sitting and it soaked me. I went to change again. I then discovered Noah was soaked and I was going to give all the kids a bath. The toilet then clogged and Livi left it open. I turned to fill up the tub and Noah got to the toilet and was playing in it. I washed his hands and gave them all a good bath. We're all clean and happy now, and I'm sure glad it's time for bed!

Oh my goodness!! I'm impressed you made it out okay...and without puking yourself. :) You deserve a medal. Or at least a good night's rest!
Wow!! That was a horrible no good very bad evening!
That sounds awful! You are a good women to laugh through it! I think I would have been crying. I love your blog. You are so good to update it so much! Keep it up! I love it.
haha mom told me about what happened. umm, i think its funny but i do feel a little sorry for you.
all in a day's work, right? I was changing Madie's diaper in the hotel room last week and had to pick up a stray peblet with my bare hands. My brother was so grossed. He keeps reminding me of it, but whatever. What was I supposed to do, let someone else find it later on accident? That's what would be gross. Anyway, at least there was bleach and high temperature involved. funny story.
Oh my Ash! I am glad I am not the only one with horrible days!
